So in Chicago there's some big Irish population or something (coughcoughnickkeatycough) which makes for quite the festive St. Patrick's Day. Being the college students we are (whether Irish or not) we celebrate it like it's New Year's or something. Except instead of staying up all night...we wake up really early and are asleep by 4 pm. I, of course, had to have a festive ensemble to sport for this day. My mother made me an all green tutu with a sparkled waist band and a giant bedazzled shamrock hanging from it. I also had a light up shamrock crown, some light up shamrock earrings, and a white tee with green letters stating "I'm not Irish".
There's this huge tradition where they turn the river green, and everyone from the whole city tries to gather along 5 blocks of the city to get the best view. This year was rainy and gloomy, but it didn't stop us from having a good time (there was a plastic megaphone and a blow-up beer mug involved). Pictures below:

Another big event in March dealt with my internship at the magazine. I was chosen to interview a famous fashion designer, Phillip Lim! There was an event at Nordstrom for his new collection, and he was there giving customers advice. He was super nice, which was a big reliefe for my first celebrity interview.
